Welcome to Geo Paskell of Manningtree

Geo Paskell is the oldest branch of The Hunnaball Family Funeral Group and has a special place in our hearts, as do the people of Manningtree, Wix and the surrounding areas. Our team, led by Saul Hunnaball, is always prepared to welcome the bereaved at their most distressing time, and guide them through the intricacies of arranging a funeral.

We help with all the practicalities as we are well used to working alongside celebrants, medical professionals and legal advisors. As bereavement can, sadly, occur at any time, our teams are always on the alert to help. We have a team of experienced funeral directors, as well as our first responders are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

With professionalism and sensitivity, we will guide you through every aspect of arranging a funeral, which can seem an overwhelming prospect at first. Step by step, we explain the various tasks that must be tackled and the formalities which must be completed. Our premises are designed to make you feel comfortable and less stressed, with family friendly arranging rooms, a Chapel of Rest and a mortuary where loved ones are cared for with dignity and respect. Parking is available onsite.

These twin values of dignity and respect colour everything that we do, in order to ensure that you can achieve a funeral service which does justice to the memory and legacy of your loved one.

Established as long ago as 1837, Geo Paskell Funeral Directors of Wix, was acquired in 1983 by Trevor and Melanie Hunnaball, who together founded The Hunnaball Family Funeral Group. Now located in the High Street, Manningtree, its time-honoured traditions of care and professionalism have been embraced and progressed by the Hunnaball family, who have instilled these values across the entire group.

A funeral is a traditional rite of passage, and is part of the grieving process. A meaningful funeral service helps people to cope with loss, to comfort each other, and to celebrate a life. The ceremony can take many forms, and can be religious or non-religious. What is important is that it is the right choice for the person who has died, and for their family and friends.
