We are delighted to welcome military veteran, Mark Ingram, to our board of Directors.

With more than 30 years of experience in management, Mark stepped up to the role of Director of Training and Development this month.

Mark is a military veteran having spent years serving in the Armed Forces. His last role was as a Regimental Sergeant Major with a Specialist Tri-Service Police unit which provided global training and operational deployment capability in close protection, supporting the military and other governmental organisations.

Mark joined our team in 2016, since then he has held a variety of roles. His specialist level of skills, experience and qualifications make Mark ideally suited to the position Director of Training and Development for the Hunnaball Family Funeral Group. With this wealth of experience, Mark aims to reinforce the company ethos of providing training and education for staff while supporting fellow directors in strategic decision-making, governance and compliance as the business expands.

Mark’s extensive military background has instilled in him a deep understanding of teamwork, discipline, and the importance of high-quality training – qualities that align perfectly with the values of the Hunnaball Family Funeral Group. Throughout his career in the Armed Forces, he honed his leadership skills, mentoring and training personnel to operate at the highest standards, often in challenging environments. His experience in structured learning and development, combined with his ability to support and guide teams, makes him an invaluable asset as we continue to invest in the growth and professional development of our staff.

Our chairman Trevor Hunnaball said: “Mark has been an integral part of our team for the last eight years and we are delighted to welcome him to the board of Directors. His expertise and leadership in training and development will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our company, ensuring we continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and care. We look forward to working with Mark to strengthen the future growth and success of our company as we enter a new and exciting phase.”

Mark added: “I am honoured to take on this new position within Hunnaball Family Funeral Group. Training and development are at the heart of delivering exceptional service and I look forward to supporting our teams as we continue to grow and evolve. The company’s ethos of care and pro-fessionalism aligns with my own values, and I am excited to contribute to its ongoing success.”

Mark’s appointment comes as we repledge our commitment to excellence in funeral care, rein-forcing our reputation as one of the most trusted and respected independent funeral providers in the region.
